Kido Shuri @ Annikki Poetry Festival /Annikin Runofestivaali in Tampere Finland June 8th 2013. The Finnish translations made by Mayu Saaritsa are read by Finnish poet Ville Hytönen. Kido Shuri is one of the leading contemporary poets in Japan. Since 1985, he has published nine poetry collections, and he has been awarded with several significant literary prizes. Shuri Kido has been considered the leading figure of the new generation of contemporary poetry in Japan. The Finnish translation of Kido's work of poetry (Harhakuvien äiti) was published at Annikki Poetry Festival during his first visit to Finland. The work was translated by Mayu Saaritsa.
