The bombardment came as Vladimir Putin vowed to continue his uncompromising fight against what he called nationalist militants in a phone call with Emmanuel Macron. Dashcam footage reportedly shows a cluster of projectiles falling in a residential area of the city, which lies near the Belarusian border and 140km north of Kyiv. Vyacheslav Chaus, Chernihiv's governor, said in a post on Telegram there were no military facilities near the blast, only hospitals, schools, kindergartens and dozens of high-rise buildings.
