North Karelia going towards oil free and carbon neutral future. Bio10 Ltd. bio gas plant recycles biodegradable waste and sludge by producing bio gas and organic fertilizer. This bio gas is burned for electricity and heat for the plants’ own use as well as to local the district heating network by Kiteen lämpö Ltd. 60% of the used electricity in Kiteen lämpö Ltd is sourced and produced locally. Consumers who recycle have a big impact so all possible waste can be utilized. Bio10 wishes that they can produce bio gas for mobility purposes in the future.
