Activists Dressed as Orangutans Demand: No Palm Oil in Public Transport

Greenpeace Suomi

A campaign launched by Greenpeace on January 21st demands that the municipal authorities in the Finnish capital of Helsinki and in the surrounding metropolitan area stop using diesel fuel containing palm oil in public transport. Activists dressed as orangutans are travelling in buses, handing out leaflets and telling passengers about the grave environmental and social problems connected to palm oil. Activists are also collecting names for a petition to be delivered to the city councils in Helsinki metropolitan area, demanding an end to the use of unsustainable palm oil diesel.
