Korkeasaari Zoo is proud to host the 2021 conference of the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (EAZA). Korkeasaari Zoo is home to 150 animal species and almost 1000 plant species that are testament to the diversity of nature. The Zoo is uniquely located on an island, in the Baltic Sea. It is only a short distance from the Helsinki city centre and you can actually see the Helsinki and Uspenski Cathedrals from the zoo. It takes only 20 minutes to reach us by a local bus or a ferry that runs during summer season.
