The Helsinki Collegium for Advanced Studies is hosting Kollegium Talks 2021: Thinking Future Worlds. In the talk From the Anthropocene to Bat Soups – Thinking Extinction (our own and that of others), Christine Daigle and Xin Liu are discussing prominent concepts of this age of crisis – such as “Anthropocene,” “Extinction” and “Sustainability.” They challenge the humanist value system permeating these concepts and ask: what are the ethical and political implications of living beyond humanism?
