Pikkuli and Daddy are engaged in a wild game, when they hear the Hazel Grouse Chicklings singing in a choir. Pikkuli and Daddy notice that the Chicklings would like to move about and improvise, but the strict choir director Mrs. Hazel Grouse won’t let them. To the horror of Mrs. Hazel Grouse, the Chicklings start running off one by one. At the end, Pikkuli and Daddy lead Mrs. Hazel Grouse back to the Chicklings who are found singing and dancing, happy and free.
