Many people wonder, if it is possible to meet Sámi people on their journey to Lapland. This is not an easy task, as Sámi people live a common life now, just as everybody else. They aren't too many of them either, just a few thousands in Finnish Lapland. Sámi people also aren't an attraction, and they guard their privacy, just as anybody :) Sámi person Niiles-Jouni Aikio, depicted in this video, currently lives in Levi, Lapland. He is a skillful singer, actor, a reindeer herder, and he is also an excellent cook. And, you can be his guest at his restaurant Saamen Kammi in Levi Lapland. There, you will sample 5 different dishes that he makes out of reindeer, and super-tasty glow-fried salmon. He also sings some traditional Joiku songs to you in his native Sámi language.
