In the Baltic region, GPS disruptions are becoming more common. Signals can be overpowered, called jamming, or sometimes even faked, called spoofing. This can make it harder for pilots and ship crews to navigate safely. The EU blames Russia and has imposed sanctions against several people and institutions that are connected to targeted electronic warfare. Fortunately, both ships and planes have other navigation systems they can use to double check their location. But the disruption still matters. Spoofing attacks in particular can cause serious chaos in the air and at sea. Author: Sophia Wagner #STEMTok #dwscience #jammersignalblocker #cyberwarfare #electronicwarfare #dwnews
