This elderly woman hasn't seen her apartment since the war started, when she fled with her husband and their dog. Her small apartment building was a tight knit community of families. Four of her neighbors from across the hall are dead. Eight of her closest neighbors in total. All civilians. Murdered by Russia. To top it off, the Russians later looted everything they could find. So if it wasn't broken, it was stolen. It's not much what I gave her, but it's better than nothing. I didn't have more with me. The $500 is literally more than 6 months of income for her.
