16mm movie 5:50 (silent) The installation 'Kirsti' is a part of a series of works mixing video and photography, which investigate people's experience of metaphysical alienation and their attempt to construct an alternative, personally more suitable reality. The work is based on documentary material. The protagonist Kirsti is a healer of a kind and perhaps even a seer. She uses ancient, magical means to treat people's ailments. In this work of art reality is not something concrete, but a reflection of a person's inner experience. ©Veli Granö.
