For this concert, Rank has commissioned new works from several emerging composers from Helsinki or elsewhere in the Nordic countries. These include Alejandro Olarte from Columbia, James Andean from Canada, and Libero Mureddu from Italy, all of whom are living and working in Helsinki, and Christos Farmakis from Greece, living and working in Copenhagen, as well as German composer Torsten Papenheim.
